Drug Free Schools and Workplace
Board Policy GAOA states:
The unlawful manufacture, distribution, sale, dispensing, possession or use of a controlled substance is prohibited in the district.
As a condition of employment in the district, employees shall abide by the terms of this policy. Any employee who is convicted under a criminal drug statute for a violation occurring in the workplace must notify the superintendent of the conviction within five days of the conviction.
Board Policy JDDB states:
Whenever a student engages in conduct which constitutes the commission of any misdemeanor or felony, at school, on school property, or at a school supervised activity and/or has been found in possession of a controlled substance or illegal drug, the superintendent shall report the act to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
