After reviewing COVID data from both Jefferson and Douglas Counties, the determination has been made to move 7th-12th-grade students back to the hybrid or "yellow" model for two weeks beginning on Monday, September 21st. Because we have smaller class sizes in our Preschool through 6th-grade, they will be able to continue with daily classroom instruction as they have during the past three . . .
USD #343 will expect parents or guardians to check their student’s temperature prior to boarding the bus. Temperatures will be taken by school personnel upon arriving at school buildings. Students with a temperature at or above 100.4 will be held in an isolation room until the parent is able to arrange for pick-up or give the approval to allow a student to drive home. . . .
At a special Board of Education meeting on July 27th, USD #343 Board members voted to delay the start of the 2020-21 school year by one week. The new start date for students is now August 19th. The additional five days will be used as professional development for teachers as they prepare for a challenging school year.
