Thanksgiving Dinner Offered to Senior Citizens
On Friday, November 20th, the USD #343 Board of Education will provide a free Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens (age 65 or older) that reside in the USD #343 school district!
Keeping the health and safety of our most precious patrons a high priority, Thanksgiving dinners will be delivered to senior citizens, with delivery staff wearing gloves and masks. Meals will be placed on the porch at the designated address. A specific porch drop off spot can be designated when calling in to reserve a meal. Meals can also be picked up at the PLHS kitchen dock door, to be eaten at a different location. Guests will not be able to eat their Thanksgiving meal at any of our schools this year.
If you are or know of a senior citizen that would like to have a free Thanksgiving meal delivered to their home Friday, November 20th, please call 785-597-5138 or 785-597-5872 by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020. When you call, leave the name of the senior citizen and be sure to provide a home address, porch drop off spot and phone number.
