A full summer of camps and conditioning are in place to prepare our high school and middle school athletes for a successful 2024-25 athletic year. Summer conditioning starts June 3rd for all athletes. The high school program will start at 7:00 am . The middle school program will start at 8:30. Conditioning schedule

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we introduce Dr. Josh Woodward as the new Superintendent of USD 343 Perry-Lecompton. With a deep-rooted commitment to educational excellence and a profound passion for fostering positive change, Dr. Woodward brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our district.
Dr. Woodward's journey with our district is a testament to his unwavering dedication and love for our community. Having initially started in 1989 as a middle school teacher, Dr. Woodward left briefly in 2000, but the pull of our district's vibrant culture and supportive community brought him back. In 2007, he returned, eager to contribute to the transformative work happening within our schools and stepped into the role of the Assistant Principal, Transportation Director and Food Service Director at Perry-Lecompton Middle School. In 2010, he transitioned into the role of Building Principal. In 2016, he became the Assistant Superintendent for USD 343 Perry-Lecompton and has remained in that position until now.
As our new Superintendent, Dr. Woodward brings a visionary leadership style that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. He envisions a future where every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, regardless of background or circumstance.
With a keen understanding of the challenges facing modern education, Dr. Woodward is committed to implementing evidence-based practices and initiatives that promote student achievement and well-being. His research interests, which include factors influencing bond referendums, teacher shortages, and professional development strategies, underscore his dedication to addressing pressing issues facing our district and many others.
Dr. Woodward's transition comes at an exciting time for our district, as we embark on a journey of growth and transformation. Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, recent bond referendum success will pave the way for much-needed facility improvements and enhancements for our students and community.
In Dr. Josh Woodward, we have found a leader who embodies our district's values of excellence, integrity, and community. His passion for education, coupled with his proven track record of success, makes him the ideal candidate to transition into this role and lead us into a future filled with endless possibilities.
