PLHS Welcomes New Ag Teacher Matthew Anguiano

Matthew Anguiano joins the staff at PLHS as our new Agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.  We are excited to add this program for our students and we know that Mr. Anguiano is the right person to get this new program off the ground.

Mr. Anguiano grew up in Abilene KS and graduated from Abilene HS.  He attended college at Butler Community College and then finished his degree at Kansas State University in 2018.  After college, he spent one year at Hanover High School and the past two years he was the Ag and Welding teacher at Shawnee Heights HS.

Mr. Anguiano wanted to become a teacher to make a difference in students’ lives.  As an AG teacher and FFA advisor, he gets to work with students on a closer level for a longer period of time, which allows him to really see the growth in his students.  He enjoys seeing kids’ happiness from their success.

Mr. Anguiano made the move from Shawnee Heights to PLHS to come back to a smaller school as well as become involved within the communities that make up USD 343.  He is looking forward to getting to know the students, staff, and community members.

Mr. Anguiano is married to Megan, who works at the Kansas Livestock Association.  In his free time, he enjoys fishing, working on the farm, and working on his and others' yards and landscapes.  Matthew wants everyone to know if there is anything he can do or the AG/FFA students can do for you please let him know and they would be glad to help.
