USD #343 Students Will Continue with Daily Instruction
After reviewing COVID-19 related data, all PreK-12 students will continue with daily instruction through at least March 3rd, which is the end of the 3rd nine weeks. This is considered the “green” phase. As outlined in the USD #343 gating criteria document, the indicators used are the two-week positivity rate, local hospital capacity, trend in county data, and the availability of substitutes by level. Each category is assigned a point value, with the lowest being one point. All indicators are at one point! This is the best data we have seen since last September!

Keep in mind that extreme changes in positive cases could cause our district to change education plans with short notice. All safety precautions are still in effect. Masks must be worn by all students and staff, social distancing will be enforced, temperature checks at the building entrance, and frequent hand-washing is required. As a reminder, all spectators attending indoor activities are required to wear a mask properly.
