Homecoming Week Sept. 21-26

Perry-Lecompton High School will be celebrating Homecoming Week from September 21st through September 26th with a week full of activities, organized by the PLHS Student Council, with help from the Booster Club, Lecompton Pride & the Cities of Perry & Lecompton.

 

Our 2020 Homecoming Candidates, as selected by the student body, are James Bartlett and Kassidy Schumann, Thad Metcalfe and Laura Guess, and William Welch and Chloe Daniels.

 

Our Junior attendants, as selected by the Senior Class of 2021, are Campbell Keller with Tadeo Ratzlaff and Maddy Welch with Reichen Rush. Our Jr Kaw attendants, as selected by the StuCo members, are both Perry Elementary Kindergartners, Cambria Fitzmorris & Cash Swafford.

 

On Wednesday, Sept 23, there will be a Homecoming Parade at 6:00 pm which will be followed by a community pep rally, bonfire, and cookout of hotdogs & hamburgers provided by PLHS Booster Club (free will donations). 

 

On Friday, Sept 25, The Kaw Football team will take on the Bishop Ward Cyclones at 7:00 pm. The Homecoming Crowning Ceremony will be at halftime.

 

The culmination of the week will be Saturday, Sept 26, StuCo will be holding an all high school Homecoming Drive-In Movie Night at 6:30pm. This event is replacing the dance this year. It will be free to attend & include free popcorn & drinks, social distanced glow in the dark games & prizes to be given away during intermission. Pizza, candy & chocolate will be available for purchase. Students are encouraged to bring folding chairs.

Spirit Week Activities:

 

Monday – PJ Day!

Tuesday – Twinning-Dress up like an iconic duo or trio

Wednesday – Wilderness Wear (You can dress up at home for remote learning day)

Thursday – Throwback to your favorite decade

Friday – Show that School Spirit, wear Blue, White or any Kaws gear to cheer for our PLHS football team!

 

We hope that you are able to come join in on the fun of Homecoming week activities and show your KAW PRIDE! We know these are different times & excited to have these festivities for the students. Please kindly practice social distancing when possible and wear your masks.
