Trent Robb Selected to Teach History and Journalism

July 24, 2017

Trent grew up in Perry and has maintained close ties with the community even while away at college.  His face is very familiar to the educational community as he attended elementary, middle and high school all within the Perry-Lecompton School District and graduated from PLHS.  After high school Trent attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas and after graduation was hired to work with resource students splitting his time between PLMS and Jefferson West.  When not busy teaching or coaching students he enjoys spending his time playing disc golf or reading.

Mr. Robb decided to become a teacher so he could provide a positive influence on the young lives in the community.  "The thing I enjoy about teaching is the students.  Not a day passes in the classroom where I don't smile or get a laugh from something they say or do".  Having grown up in Perry Mr. Robb is familiar with the academic success and long-standing traditions enjoyed by the district.  "This is my home town, I want to give back to the community that did so much for me when I was growing up".

Mr. Robb says he looks forward to helping the kids in the community succeed both within and beyond the classroom!
