Personal Computer Usage
USD 343 staff and students are allowed to bring their personal laptop computer to connect to the USD 343 WLAN. (This does not include cell phones with wifi capabilities.) Connection to the WLAN includes access to the internet, but not to the USD 343 network and shared drives. All users must register each laptop’s Mac address with USD 343 building administration. The Mac address allows USD 343 to monitor internet use and location. Users must abide by all USD 343 technology use policies.
USD 343 and staff are not liable for damage, loss, or theft of personal laptops. It is strongly recommended that each individual record the serial number of your laptop and that anti-virus and firewalls are up-to-date and functioning properly.

USD 343 shall not be liable for users' inappropriate use of computers/peripherals/network or violations of copyright restrictions or other laws, users' mistakes or negligence, or costs incurred by users.
USD 343 will cooperate fully with local, state, or federal officials in any investigation concerning or relating to misuse of the district's computers/peripherals/network/Internet.
