Pandemic Infections
Pandemic: This term means a level of illness in a community which exceeds an epidemic. The district has plans in place in the event of a pandemic here.
The superintendent, in consultation with public health personnel, will decide when a building or office needs to be closed temporarily. If that should happen, families concerned will be notified by telephone at the numbers provided to the Broadcast Calling system.
Families can support the district by monitoring their children's health closely and keeping them home when they are contagious. Guidelines for determining when to send a child back to school are found on this website and on the KSDE website (www.ksde.org).
