This award shall be given "to the outstanding teacher of the district each year, particularly the teacher who most motivates students to want to learn and obtain more education."  This award reflects the desire of Doris and Dale Hupe to annually reward the USD #343 teacher who most stimulates learning in pupils.

The amount of the award varies from year to year and is to be used as the recipient sees fit.

v     Nominations:

v     Staff will select the building nominee based on above criteria by secret vote or ballot prior to Spring Break.  (Principals will be in charge of this process.)

v     Nominees will respond in writing to the question, " How do you motivate students to want to learn and obtain more education?"

v     The selection committee will consist of the high school senior class president, a PTO representative from each school and the superintendent.
