PLHS Football is State Bound!!

The Kaws second match-up of the season with the Topeka Hayden Wildcats turned out the same as the first, a close game with the Kaws claiming victory!  The first game required overtime to determine a winner, this one didn’t.  The Kaws earned a 35-27 win and a trip to the 3A State Championship game next Saturday in Hutchinson, where they will face the Andale Indians.   USD #343 Media will NOT stream next week’s game per KSHSAA regulations.  We expect to see many Kaw fans make their way down to Hutchinson next Saturday to support the Kaw football team.   We hope that you are able to enjoy Thanksgiving with family on Thursday, shop ‘til you drop on Black Friday, then cheer for the Kaws in Hutchinson on Saturday!
 
Here is the State football information we have at this time.
Date:  Saturday, November 30th.
Kickoff:  1:00 pm.
Location:  Gowan Stadium, Hutchinson Community College.  1300 N. Plum, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
Ticket Prices:  Students - $7.  Adults - $10.  Gates will open two hours before the start of the game.
Parking:  Free.
Bus for Students:  A pep club bus will be available for students.  Details on the bus will be available through the PLHS office on Monday.
 
The Kaws will be the home team, with fans setting on the west side of the stadium.
 
A live stream of the game will be available on the National Federation of High School Sports Network.  *This is NOT a free streaming service, however subscriptions for their service are available at nfhsnetwork.com.  You would need to set up an account by clicking the “subscribe” tab located on the top right of the webpage, then select your package.  The monthly subscription fee is $10.99, or the yearly subscription fee is $69.99.  A subscription to this service will provide access to the PLHS game along with all other KSHSAA State Championship games.  Once the games are complete, many will be available “on-demand.”.
 
MSC Sports Radio will provide FREE audio play-by-play of the PLHS State Championship game vs. Andale on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Tune to 93.7 KAIR or you can stream the radio station from their website: https://streamdb7web.securenetsystems.net/v5/KAIR
