PLMS Welcomes Macy Wallisch

Ms. Macy Wallisch will join the 6th grade team teaching Science and Mathematics. This will be Ms. Wallish’s first year teaching after graduating from Baker University with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She decided to become a teacher because she loves science as well as helping others. Teaching allows her to share her passion with children and teach them all of the fun and interesting things about science.

Ms. Wallisch is excited to be in USD 343 because it is a small town school just like the one she grew up in at Holton. She also loves how kind and supportive the staff is. It really makes the school feel more like a family. She is looking forward to meeting and working with all of the amazing staff members and students during the school year.

In addition to her teaching duties Ms. Wallisch will join the coaching staff working with the PLHS Girls Basketball team. When asked about basketball Ms. Wallisch said “I love to play basketball. I played basketball all 4 years at Baker University. We went to nationals 3 of the 4 years and we were the NAIA National Runner-Up my senior year. I was also named NAIA Defensive Player of the Year 3 years in a row and an NAIA All-American as well as an NAIA Scholar Athlete.”

We are excited to have Ms. Wallisch join our staff!
