USD 343 Staff Take Healthy New Year Challenge

USD 343 staff members are walking, running, biking, and exercising their way into the new year through the Kaw Wellness Challenge 2017. The healthy living program is designed for Perry-Lecompton staff members to promote good nutrition, daily physical activity, good hydration and blood pressure awareness.
The nine-week program will begin on January 9 and conclude on March 12. The wellness program will award daily points for eating at least three servings of fruits and/or vegetables, participating in physical exercise activities, drinking recommended amounts of water and taking a daily blood pressure reading.
The wellness challenge will promote individual health awareness as well as foster competition between two-person teams within each school. The top three teams for each school will be award prizes at the end of the competition.
The new year is off to a healthy start in USD #343!
