Custodians Tackle Summer Work as a Team
When classes begin in Perry-Lecompton schools on August 17, 2010, the buildings will be featuring shiny glass-like hard floors, freshly cleaned carpeting and recently dusted classrooms in preparation for the arrival of students and teachers. The miraculous changes in our buildings which occur during the summer months happen not by chance but through a great deal of hard work performed by USD #343 custodians.
The USD #343 custodial staff this year has teamed up to do their important summer cleaning one building at a time, rather than all buildings at the same time as had been done the past several years. This summer, several custodial staff may be taking furniture out of rooms while another team is stripping and waxing hard floors, while another crew may be cleaning carpets, all in the same building.
Our district is fortunate to have an outstanding group of custodians who keep our buildings clean throughout the year. We appreciate the valuable role they play in the day-to-day operation of our schools. Please join us in thanking our custodians for the very vital work they perform in our schools.
