PLHS Athletics and Activity Tickets

Pay to Participate - For the first time, PLHS students will have to pay to participate in extra curricular activities. Students wanting to participate on athletic teams will be required to pay a $25.00 participation fee. This is a once a year fee that will cover the student for any sports that they wish to participate in. Income generated from this fee will be used to offset the increasing cost of officials, entry fees, and equipment. Students may make monthly payments if needed. This fee is significantly lower than the fee charged by some area schools.
Activity Ticket - Patrons wanting to attend PLHS athletic events may purchase a punch card. The cards will be available for ten events for $25.00, or twenty events for $40.00. This punch card will admit both adults or children to PLHS events. Adult admission to most PLHS athletic events is four dollars. PLHS students will still have an activity pass for PLHS events. The punch cards will not be used for admission to the musical, dinner theater, or KSHSAA regional or district tournaments hosted by PLHS. Tickets will be valid for two years and may be purchased at enrollment, or at the PLHS office during the school year. The new format will allow the high school to better track attendance at events.
