USD #343 2009-2010 School Calendar
The USD #343 district school calendar for the 2009-2010 school year was approved by the Board of Education at their June meeting.

Several key aspects of the calendar to note are listed below.
• Teachers' inservice days begin on Monday, 8/10.
• Student classes begin on Friday, 8/14.
• Fall parent/teacher conferences begin on 9/16 from 4-8 p.m.
after a full day of classes and then on 9/17 there will be a
teacher inservice in the a.m. with conferences from 2-8 p.m.
• There will be no classes on Friday, 9/18.
• Monday, 10/19 will be a half teacher work day in the a.m. with
students eating lunch at school and attending school a half day in
the p.m.
• Thanksgiving break will run from Wednesday, 11/25 through
Friday, 11/27.
• The winter holiday break for students will run from Monday,
12/21/09 through Monday, 1/4/10. Students will begin second
semester on Tuesday, 1/05.
• Monday, 1/18 will be an inservice day for teachers.
• Winter parent/teacher conferences begin on Wednesday, 2/3 from 4-8 p.m. after a full day of classes and on Thursday, 2/04, students will have a half day of classes with conferences from 2-8 p.m.
• There will be no classes on Friday, 2/5.
• Friday, 3/12 will be an inservice and marking day for teachers
• Spring break will run from 3/15 through 3/19.
• Monday, 4/12 will be an inservice day for teachers.
• The last half day of classes will be on Wednesday, 5/26 with a half teacher work day in the p.m.
• Thursday, 5/27 will be an inservice day for teachers.
