Earth's Birthday Project
By Jill Spurling
Since 1989, millions of students and teachers have helped the Earth's Birthday Project and have helped to save more than 489,000 acres of rainforest and other threatened habitat.
This year the students at PES chose to help the African Elephants in Kenya and Tanzania. Students brought zip lock bags and card board banks full of coins to help save the vulnerable species.
Our donation of 264.00 helped to purchase 5.28 acres of African elephant habitat. These acres will be conserved through African Wildlife Foundation's conservation programs.
We are proud of the students for choosing to protect the elephants and to celebrate the Earth and all of its wonderful animals, plants, and ecosystems.
