Nature Study Site In Winter at Lecompton Elementary School

Winter can be brutal and downright nasty! However, when you visit the Nature Study Site after ice has fallen, it becomes a majestic work of art. There are several feeders available for birds that certainly get hungry with everything buried in ice.
The site itself will continue to be updated as with creating a focal point in the water feature area with attractive gravel and a “bubble rock.” More will be coming about this in the spring.
The photographer for the pictures was Shirley Schwyhart, a paraprofessional in our building.
