Basketball Buddies!!!

The second graders from LES got to attend high school on Thursday, Dec. 6 and meet the boys’ basketball team. During their visit, they paired up with one or two boys and did a get-acquainted activity with their buddy.
Then we got out the basketballs and worked together on some of our basketball skills. It was a great interaction between both groups.
The second graders will keep in touch with their “buddy” by cards, letters, and posters during the season. We plan to attend a home game together in January to cheer on the Kaws. This is our fourth year of working together with the high school basketball team.
We hope we will build lasting friendships and provide positive role models for the kids. Some programs are worth keeping and this has been one of those!
